Telemancer

Telemancer is a Puzzle Adventure that was made in Game Lab - Fall 2021. My role within this project was Level Designer. As a Level Designer, I was in charge of creating a block-out of the tutorial level (Level 1). Additionally, I was also in charge of creating utility scripts for level designing. During my time in Game Lab, I've gotten crucial experience of working in a team and how to adapt to unexpected situations.

Responsibilities

  • Developed from start to finish tutorial level that included unique experiences for the player (learn as you play) reduced repetition if not needed and further reinforce key mechanics to the player throughout the level.

  • Pitched game design concepts for puzzle concepts

  • Developed a mood board, paper map, and puzzle map

  • Followed level design process including, level flow, engagement, structure, pacing, environmental storytelling, testing, etc.

  • Prototyped a Whitebox level and iterated as the core mechanics, movement, and story was finalized.

  • Met with Environment artist throughout production to ensure my work was suitable for the pipeline.
